Procedure

How to commission:

  • I only respond to commission inquiries through DM/PMs and e-mail.
  • I don’t take commissions from what seem like empty/ spam accounts.
  • We’ll discuss scope and hours the project/ piece will take, I’ll then send you an estimate followed by an invoice.

The Process:

  • Simple commissions automatically come with a 1 month wait time, (or more, again depending on quantity/ revisions and volume). But generally, you’ll receive your commission no later than a month from ordering it.
  • Rush jobs will require an extra small fee.
  • Reference images are highly recommended and appreciated.
  • I won’t work in another artist’s style.
  • Fan art of existing characters is subject for approval.

Payment:

  • I only take payments via PayPal, Direct Deposit and Venmo in USD. No exceptions.
  • For commissions less than $1000, I take payment upfront. For larger pieces and projects, inquire for payment scheduling. (I won’t even begin thinking about the commission until the invoice is paid).
  • If you need to back out after the commission has begun, you’ll receive a partial refund.
  • If you need to back out before I’ve started the commish, you’ll receive a full refund.
  • If I, Jake Morrison, need to back out for any reason, full refund.
  • For full-color characters/ illustrations, you’ll get 1 WIP sketch and 1 revision. Larger projects and pieces will warrant a thumbnail phase.
  • More than 1 revision on a design will cost an additional fee (gotta get paid for my time).

Delivery:

  • You’ll recieve a full resolution PNG file, (or PSD if requested).
  • I reserve the right to deny any commissions for any reason. I reserve the right to sell prints/ posters of said commissions I reserve the right to post commissions online, and on my social media By commissioning me, you agree to these conditions and terms of service

*Non-commercial means these commissions are NOT for commercial, marketing, or publishing purposes. These are the rates for purely personal and inter-personal commissions.
