Forelords is the name of a burgeoning IP- in which most of my future art and efforts will be invested. So far, the property includes a trading card game, a video game, some novels, comics, and a hopeful TTRPG. The themes of the universe are that of existential dread, science, technology, and my own iteration of the fusion between science fiction and fantasy. This has been the most rewarding and fun project I’ve ever worked on, and I’m elated to continue it’s progress as often as I can.

There will be a series of ‘Main Storylines’- which take place over periods longer than a singular novel. These series will slowly unfold and tell the tale of Olroc, the strange, wild and advanced planet of unknown wonder. From the earliest gods and pantheons of the universe to the furthest depths of time and technology rivaling the gods themselves… mysteries, secrets and cryptic messages are the only currency you’ll find here

The mysterious group, cloaked and masked, is one baked in conspiracy and world-domination. These deeds, which mold the shape of reality itself, are ordered by the hands of forces more powerful and advanced than comprehension.

The meaning of life and other such ponderous questions are what the Forelords aim to tackle, through a series of mysteries and adventures. The Forelords have now, through a series of unfortunate predicaments, have found themselves stranded on a barren, alien planet. There’s no hope of escape, and it would appear they’re not alone. Strange folk, human in appearance but odd in molecule, seem to inhabit this planet as well- and on occasion will occupy said in and spin their yarn.

The world is large, and the biomes are aplenty. There are no two humans that are the same, by any regards, and the endless horizon is but only a few footsteps away. The end goal of our precious planet Olroc is that it feel like the greatest, and largest open-world sandbox of a single planet. I want to contribute so much to its various struggles and regions and history that it might as well be real.

I couldn’t think of a better medium to make a world feel sandbox, without making a massive video game, than a Tabletop Role-Playing Game. So I decided to make one, and I think it’s going to be pretty killer.

The Forelords Trading Card Game is sort of what kick-started all of this, and really made me think about how best to utilize all of my art going forward. I want my characters and environments to have purpose, and feel like they belong in a real, interesting world.

The first Forelords video game: Kanoa! Having had a bit of experience making games before, I was finally able to test my chops making assets for a game- and figuring out the conundrum of drawing isometric assets in 2D. Lots of learning and growth with this one, and it’s set to be released in a year or so!

The first story, to also be written as an accompanying 300+ page novel, will be Sweeping Sand– a techno-futuristic dune-esque dystopian pandemic novel, obviously written during the pandemic, but hoping to see daylight by 2025!
