Writing
Ever since I was a wee lad, I’ve had a strong interest in books. From thick fiction novels, to comics, manga to ‘how-to’ instructionals, I just wanted to absorb as many words into my brain and body as possible. These formative years, engrossed in the world of written words, is what I attribute to my obsession with storytelling. To turn the pages of a novel until the last one is flipped is, at least in my world, one of life’s greatest pleasures.
This passion has spawned (perhaps too many) ideas on what I would like to accomplish through this medium in the future. Unfortunately, I found out that I absolutely love everything about writing books, so it has now found a place (alongside drawing) in my hierarchy of obsessions. There are many novels, illustrated novels, and comics I have planned for myself, but I’m taking it one book at a time for the time being. I’m extremely excited to continue doing what I’m doing, and to make vivid and immersive stories for anyone to enjoy.
Words, in many ways, are a more versatile medium than images- however the combination of both is better than either on their own, if you ask me. Comics, illustrated novels, and other such things invoke inspiration and imagination in all ages- and I hope the future of art is bountiful in advancements in the paradigm.
